YMCA SWIM COACH

The Greater Lowell Family YMCA is seeking an Assistant Head Coach to the Barracuda Swim Team.

Ideal Candidate would:

Serve as the Assistant Head Coach to the Barracuda Swim Team, providing direct service at practice and meets.

Represent the YMCA at team's swim meets throughout the year.

Set overall direction and curriculum for practices and meets.

Have the willingness to work as part of the team to offer quality aquatic programs. Ability to provide leadership and vision to team, staff, volunteer and program participants.

 Have program planning development experience with the ability to plan and implement safe, fun and interesting progressive swimming instruction for youth.

Have a minimum of two (2) years youth aquatics instructional and competitive swim team experience. YMCA Competitive Swimming/Diving Certification preferred. .

Have effective problem solving skills-ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Have current YMCA or Red Cross lifeguard certification. (preferred, can be attained after hired)

Have First Aid and CPR certification. (preferred, can be attained after hired)

Evening/Weekend hours (15 – 25 hrs)

Salary commensurate with experience
