Get Ready for the Wildcat and Lowell Triathlons!

Introduction to Triathlon:

Summer 2010 DATE TBA

If you’ve ever thought about doing a triathlon or just want to know more about the sport, then this 1 ½ hour program is for you.  You don’t need to be an Ironman to do a triathlon!  Learn how this sport is within reach of almost anybody from ages 9 – 90+ who wants to combine fitness with achievement while having fun.  The program will cover triathlon basics including what it takes to plan, train and participate in a triathlon.   This course is a prerequisite for the Triathlon 101 program.  

 

Instructor: MARC SAUCIER.  Marc is a Registered Triathlon Leader with USA Triathlon and has competed in triathlons for over 25 years including 11 Ironman Triathlons.

 

*This class is the required prerequisite for the Triathlon 101 course*

$15 registration fee   -    Available to non members

 

Triathlon 101:

Summer 2010 Dates TBA

 

You’ve decided to do your first triathlon, or maybe you’ve done one or two and now want to start improving.  This seven-week program will help you “go the distance”.  Using the Lowell YMCA Wildcat Triathlon as our goal, we’ll go over everything you need to properly prepare, train and complete a “sprint distance” triathlon.  Topics covered include establishing goals, putting together a training plan, equipment, swim/bike/run training, eating to perform and Race Day!  Several of the meetings will be “training” sessions on the racecourse.  Prerequisite: “Introduction to Triathlon”.

Registration fee:

          $140 Full Members

          $165*Program-Member – This rate includes the program membership for new participants.

The minimum of a Program Membership is required.  The cost of the program membership is $25.00 and this covers you for any program registration for one year.

 

This clinic will prepare you for the Lowell YMCA Wildcat Triathlon on August 9th

Swim ¼ mile, Bike 11 miles, and Run 3 miles. www.firm-racing.com
