These courses teach all the skills for waterfront lifeguards. Students must successfully complete the course prerequisites in order to participate. After successful completion of the course participants will be certified in waterfront lifeguarding, CPR/AED for lifeguards, and first aid.
Must be age 15 by the last day of class.
550 yard swim of front crawl, and breaststroke
20 yard swim, a surface dive to a depth of 10 feet, and retrieval of a 10 pound brick in less than 1 minute 40 seconds.
15 yard underwater swim and retrieval of dive rings.
Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.
Course Dates and Times:
Course 1: February 19-22 (Monday-Thursday)
Course 2: April 17-20 (Tuesday-Friday)
Course 3: June 16-17, 23 & 24 (Saturday and Sunday for 2 weeks)
Course 4: June 25-28 (Monday-Thursday)
All classes run 8:00AM-6:00PM
Dress comfortably, bring bathing suit and towels. Pack a lunch and water. If you would like, bring snacks for breaks.
Rates: $300 for Members; $350 for non-members.
A $75.00 non refundable Deposit will hold your registration, balance due on the first day of class.
